I would like to get one saw ported just not sure which one, also if anyone knows of someone in montana that can port a saw that would be nice also
I would say I want to port the saw that has the most potential, I suspect the MS261 would be easier to have done as there are more individuals that have worked on them and possibly even someone here in Montana.Do you like tried and true or somethin new ? , your choice !
It's not about buying what I like, I already own both saws, I just want to port the one that will make the most power, I want the saw that will give me the biggest bang for my buck or the most horsepowerA stopwatch declares the winner as far as speed goes , buy what you like they are the same saw other than the addition of m-tronic
So The regular 261 is the one to have ported, now I am looking for someone here in Montana to do it!I still contend that a ported, strato gutted, regular 261 will make the most power. Several have commented that they run more like a 70cc saw than a 50cc saw once ported.

It's worth it if I can have a 50cc saw run like a 70cc sawI understand they need more work than most other saws though, to really perform?
Someone still needs to send one of my strato gutted 261s to Chad to run on the dyno.
