Bought a 20" bar from Jon1212 on here for the 3.7 I got from Mark and it came in today. Got the bar and a chain on and just thought I'd share. It's ready to go now. Jon is great to work with as well if anyone needs bars.

Hopefully in the next month. Busy time at work for me is about over and I'll actually have somewhat of a normal 9-5 M-F work week with my weekends off back. Then they'll all get some good use!

Thanks! I had been wanting a 3.7 and Mark's came up for sale and I figured it's not gonna get much better than that!
2077 2083 2083II only the later were the metal (and very pricey today) as it was a update to the plastic ones that was distorting on the jreds too.

Just wanted to thank everyone here on this thread for helping me over the last several months with advice, manuals and positive comments. I've learned way more than I ever expected to
and have found a very fun and rewarding hobby. Thanks to you all I finally have all my saws running good and ready to cut this spring and summer. Took a few pictures last night of the group
of saws now that they all are "finished" if you will.

. I did what I said and each one works fine now and make sure to get the outer metal bar plate for those plastic covers. Bar plate outer crosses to husky part. Think it was in thread too with part #.

That is great pile of Poulans to choose from to go cut wood. I'd be right at home with that selection.
Except that I don't see a 4000!! That usually is my first choice. LOL I for the most part, will take a specific saw for what I plan on cutting that day. Big or smallish wood lets say. Then always take a 4000, in case I change my mind, or just as a back up. Nice assortment you have there!!I hope to get some some saws out and the cobwebs knocked off, and head to the woods again too, in the not to distant future. Hope ya take a camera along with ya also. Be good to see some pics of Poulans in action this spring/summer. Im gonna try to do that also this year. I usually forget to take the camera with me.

Thanks Gregg I appreciate it. I'd still like to get a 4000 eventually but i think Mark's 3.7 that had been mildly ported and gasket delete with the muffler mod should be petty close to a 4000
I will definitely take pics in action this spring/summer, I always have my phone with me for that! I'm sure you've got some great saws to knock the dust off and go cutting too! Probably way more than I ever will haha!

I see one thing right off in your picture that I don't have..and thats a full wrap handle saw. I used to think I wanted (needed) one. But the more I think about it, the less I think I need one. LOL Other than the "cool look" factor.

If you can weld I can go pick one in decent shape for you. They'd probably want $25 for it but it's only broken in one spot on the underneath side.
To be honest, I have dropped quite a few trees in the 3' diameter range over the years. And I never really had the need for one. Only time I can remember when a full wrap might have helped, was when cutting a large Oak with another fair size tree growing right next ti it at the base. Pretty much had to cut from one side or spot due to the direction of fall and the other tree in the way.
I don't know if they are still available or not. But several years ago new wrap handles were still available from Poulan for the 5200. They weren't givin them away though. Or I might have had one. LOL Think they were like 90$ or so.

No problem just didn't know if you might want it just have one! Not sure you can even weld them after they break.

well I got the new starter cord installed in the 475 today. I sure wish it would warm up some. I still can't pull it over fast enough to get it started.I am going to have to tie it down to something and use both hands. If I had not seen it started and ran it I would not believe it is possible. My Husqvarna 390XP pulls over much easier even without using the compression release. I must have turned into a wimp this winter. The 475 will go over tdc once but it stops me on the next compression stroke. Well at least it is nice to look at. Perhaps when it gets above freezing maybe I will be able to start it.

What are you thinking? Just loosen the plug a little to release some compression....
AYP still carries them. They're only $138 now. No wonder they still have them.

Ground down my bar cover on my PP475. However I don't think my bar is correct. It's a Poulan Pro 952044323 and doesn't fit all the way to the inner bar cover. Measured the bar mount and it is approx. 9mm. Looking up appropriate bars and it appears the mount should be 9.5mm. Believe the Oregon mount should be D007 . Can someone confirm the 9.5 mm fitment?
