On a more serious note I will never buy or accept another mcculloch.

My shop seriously needs a stool and a couch with a beer fridge coffee table for nights like this. [emoji85]

Nvm looks like you gotta remove the other half of the case to this is an even worse design than the 610.

You don't need to remove the other half of the case to replace the fuel line. Maybe if you blew out the case with an air hose you could see better. Why so much whining about removing a handful of screws? You didn't even need to pull a flywheel or clutch - it's easy.

I just don't like the way mcculloch does things I've torn into several saws and I always find myself questioning the mccullochs

Based on what he posted, I think his efforts were directed at the "beer fridge" rather than the saw.
Lol yeah something to eat would've been badass to it was like 3am wish I had room for my ol toaster oven out there

On a side note, cali6construction9 if you will create a signature you can stop typing those saws in the body of the post, and potentially confusing folks. I read it every time thinking it is part of your post.

Just trying to help :D

I thought I might have done that wrong since I can't see most of your signatures but it shows to be right on mine?

Ah... your doing it on tapatalk, that is different. It posts it above the stored AS sigs. What I showed was how it is done from the browser on a PC. Wondering why you were taking that long to type it all out.

Funny I cannot even find AS in Tapatalk

These are not really typical Macs, as they were a later design intended for the homeowner market. That said, I like them quite a bit - they are simple and sturdy and perform well. Unfortunately the one you have has no A/V, just as mine didn't. I fixed that: http://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/mcculloch-se2012s-mac3200-a-v-conversion.277788/ The fuel lines are easy to install once you get the fan side case half off.

The oil lines are also accessible from that side as the pump is under the flywheel rather than on the other side under the clutch.

So what you're sayin is for 15 bucks I got an alright lil project saw

I wish I knew half the crap you did about machining theses things

Idk that I should attempt a full tear down and machining but I guess if I screw up I'm really not out much money any idea on your power increase?

Hell think I'll just do the muffler mod and hook my nephew up with his first saw maybe that'll get him outside for once

I think so - other's don't like them. I will say the vibrations bugged me enough to swap out the case. I also think maybe a 16" bar is too much for a 35cc saw, although it will certainly pull it.

That's up to you, although all I really did to the saw was to grind that small notch in the piston skirt and a muffler mod, which is pretty simple as mods go. I did not even take the piston of the rod, just wrapped a rag around the engine under piston when I ground it, removed that carefully and blew the remaining chips off with an air hose.

I can't really quantify the power increase as the muffler was already modified when I started, but it was sure noticeable. I also can't say how much of it was due to the muffler vs. the longer intake duration. Maybe just clean it up and open up the muffler for your first mod and see how that goes?

Yeah I was iffy about it cause I wasn't impressed the 610 which was a free to me if I fixed it thing so I did lol but damn that things heavy under powered I really didn't like how the handle connects to tha carburetor just kinda blah uknow but from everything I've read on them everyone else had the same to say it's nothin special at all but you can't kill it they'll just keep on kickin and he'll it doesn't matter how nice something I'd if it's not reliable it's trash so I keep it idk maybe this little saw will be alright to
