Hopefully when I get saw I can clean the cylinder up and then worry about the piston and ring.
Dug out my 3.3/3300. Pics to follow

Top end looks pretty good IMO.
No recoil so I can't get a good compression number.
If you're interested, let me know. All ignition parts, oiler, etc are there.
Yours for the cost of the ride.

Sounds good. Let me get the PP335 and see just what I have. Was shipped today.

Well, I blame a bunch of you guys on here with all the pics & jaw flappin about how good the 49cc class Poulan saws are. So I have a 3000 on the way. I'm sure I'll like it, if close to the Partner 500/5000 type saw. I think those are 49cc also. Have one of those and love it. Hopefully it won't need much but some clean up.

Gregg,

Gregg,
Great! I have some parts, though not a P&c, if you need some. I also like my PP325 which I believe is made by Partner and same as the 5000

Thanks Bob! This 3000 is suppose to be a runner...but who knows. I have a great running 500 Partner, love that saw. Also have a 5000+ that I eventually got a new piston and rings for. Cleaned the cyl. I'm short a carb mount bracket for that, so havn't tried it yet, just been sitting. I could swap the bracket from the 500 to try it out I suppose.

The 3000 looks to be a good match, power/size wise to them.

Gregg,

Gregg,

Nice Gregg, good work haha! I'll take a small piece of that blame:)
