They do fine... but for a "small saw" consider the 180C, 192, or MS200

Ignore the "hey what about brand D, Brand H (P), brand C.. we know you're a "died in the wall stihl guy":hmm3grin2orange:

You won't be sorry for buying a Stihl 025 / 250. That's all we've used for many years logging red cedar and making firewood. Our largest trees are 20" dia. and 55' tall. The women in our family also run them and they're a perfect size for all of us. I seem to wear out a few of them (saws; not women) so we always have spare parts. Ran a 021 of a neighbors and didn't like the lack of power. Never was around an 023.

Whatever you buy, if you have trouble, there's good access to some real masterminds on here if you can catch them in a serious mood.

the Husky 350 would be a good all round frugal choice...or the 346xp if you have unreasonable amounts of cash to part with...
either way I think the Husky's are easier to work on.
They just seem to be built with a little larger dose of common sense.

My ms 250 vibrates terribly,try before you buy is all I want to add to this.

I agree with Chuckie. As far as Stihl's are concerned for limbing, the MS250 is perfect.

Stan, sell your wife's dining room table and the couch and go buy the MS200 rear handle and be done with it.

MY brother bough a MS250 last year for a limbing saw. He loves it. He uses it more than his 036, and his MS180 is probably still on the same tank of gas.lol
