From what I have read most parts interchange, so is the added 1/2lb just from the bigger cylinder and piston? Seems a bit much.
That's what I thought, but didn't have the evidence to back it up. They're basically the same saw with different displacement and added the purge bulb.e-tech and NE and OE etc. OE and NE is pretty much settled at 11.4lbs Only the green cap cat ones weight more. So only a .2 to .4 of a oz different in oe ne. Bottom pic OE

Awesome, thanks for the pics.
You don't happen to have 372xp's to weigh too do you?
Most of them don't have a cat muffler. Those who do (the E-tech ones) are about .2 lbs/ 3 oz heavier than the others.Maybe a little extra weight in the Cat-muffler too?
So
Early 026 vs 346xp = 10lb 13 oz vs 11lb 4 oz = 4.9kg - 5.1kg
Early 044 vs 372xp non-xtorq = 13lb 4 oz vs 14lb 4 oz = 6kg - 6.4kg
FYI - my cheap (but clean) beater Poulan Pro 5020av that I paid $50 for weighs 13lb 1oz - 5.9kg
Hands on there is probably precious little difference in the field. I have never used a any husky besides a friend's 450.
Any weight savings is a plus in my book, but that won't stop me from picking up these husky's if the price is right (and I have extra money... probably the rate limiting step)
Now I need to find an 064...
