New Saw for the Holidays

Brother-in-law has a saw that he never uses and says I can have it if I want it. I'll get it when we go over for Christmas Day.
It's a Husky 72cc saw, Not sure of model but about 20 years old and hardly used over that time.
I'll give him something for it of course.
He likes cheese from our local maker here, Ivanhoe Cheese, Extra Old., Maybe some of that.
I'm sure my wife will have something to say about me owning a third saw....lol.

That would likely be a 272xp, one of the best 70cc saws out there imo. If thats what it is you have a pretty nice brother in law.

I hope it's a good one. Not that I'd complain whatever it is, but it'd be a good one for a small mill set up I'm thinking (CSM).
He's a nice guy, that's for sure.
You should see his garage. He collects motorcycles and has 112 so far. Mostly vintage BMWs. Every one is rebuilt and in working and nearly pristine condition.
That's his thing.

That's why I only have Echo and Husky, she asks is that new and I reply does it look new, same saws I have had for years! I just have them spread out in different out buildings and garages so she doesn't suspect the 7 I have is more than the 3 she knows about!

That's what I was thinking it was, my 371xp is a late 80s model. Well that would be 30 years old so the OPs may be a 372.

I sure am glad I have my wife, 5 chain saws and she said Ya get a smaller saw for limbing. Hey is a ad in the penny saver for a Husky chain saw that needs work. Your's are mostly husky's aren't they?
Lets buy this rifle look how pretty the wood on it is. you can use it can't you?
Don't you think you should get a gun safe, I counted 31 stuck in corners and other places you put them.

Good woman ya have there Yoop! I'm at nearly 50 saws in various states of running/repair and I don't hear a word from the wife fortunately! She did squawk a bit when I picked up a bulldozer.

272 was the first saw i ever used, grew up using my dads that he bought new in 91 i think. Still have it, mostly sits on the shelf though. The original husky one-saw-plan if ya asked me.
