Drain the gas or you might get a face full of it when you pull the gas line off.
Have a golf ball ‘T’ handy.

Like HarleyT said! Just squeeze the trigger and it pushes the linkage bar forward and you can pop it up and out with a screwdriver or needle nose pliers! This may be a dumb question, but how do I remove the top piece of the handle on a MS250 so I can free up the throttle linkage and get the carb off so I can clean the crud out ?
Looks like "Exhibit C" from a murder trial!!Have a golf ball ‘T’ handy.

I should probably add the 024/026 to that. The 036/360 is probably the only one that needs the handle cover removed to clear room for the carb.
Here in Ky., they just usually bend the throttle rod, then blame Stihl when it doesn't work correctly!!!!I should probably add the 024/026 to that.
The saw fired right up and runs good, of course after a day of cutting it'll screw up again and be plugged with crud and need to be taken apart again.
