Cut the lip of the seal trying to get it over the shoulder on the PTO side. They are the smaller seals for the .625 shaft, I figured I would give them a shot. Oops
Make a little tool like I posted, red wire nut cut down and shaped. Works perfect and stays in my tool box if I ever need it again. Lube the seals before installing. I never install a dry seal except what's on the new autos now.

I lubed the seal and was using a lip seal tool for automatic transmissions I just got impatient.

J J tell us where you hide them, then we can remind you when you need to find them again

Aint worth nothing. Just $ I'm going to hand down to my kid.

Only thing that went up in circulated value was the red 2's to 4-5. The 10's to 13-15. IMO just looks is cool for the youngins to see someday.

Makes me wonder what my mom and dad have hidden away. ;)
Dad started handing down some of the family guns years back that were passed unto him.

Was it like" oh oh almost got it, oh crap "
Kinda like that. Got it over the shoulder then noticed the decent sized sliver of lip seal laying on the bench. It’s ok I’ll get it done eventually. And thanks for spotting the jet cover. That’s how it was when I got the saw and I haven’t touched the carb because PO put a fresh kit in it.

Been there once on my 3400, had it just about seated then the seal cocked sideways a bit and the next tap couldn't be stopped. Bent the crap out of it. Had to pull it and use the spare. [emoji21]
