I am a bit late to the party, but another 1974 HS graduate, Grinnell, Iowa for me. My younger brother graduated in 1975...

Still working on getting parts sorted, identified, counted, cataloged, and put away where I can find them. I will have the inventory recorded in an Excel spread sheet so help keep track of what and where as well as to provide a search function.

Some McInformation for you all.

Alright swung by the in-laws and pick up the little mac it is a mac 110. Should be a fun tear down and build up. Been watching some videos and it is going to be interesting. I will finish the other 2 builds and start on that one.

YES mini macs are VERY fun to work on. The end.

Fixed that for you! :)

But seriously, I know I'm in the minority here, but I never had a problem with the minis or understood the hate they get.
Taking one apart is only like a 6 minute job for me. (it's probably faster with power tools) But once you figure them out, they're dead simple.

I agree with Manic84. They get a bad rap but I actually enjoy working on the Mini Mac type saws. Simple compact design and not a lot to go wrong. Clean and adjust the points, clean carb and put in a carb kit, replace fuel line and you should get a real ripper of a saw. There's a few of us here who work on them so post any questions you have.

I am excited to get into it but like I said it is 3rd in line pro mac 850, stihl 046, then mac 110 I know I got a few going but with all the covid stuff in california right now I got some time on my hands to build them I am expecting to start on the mini in middle on Jan. And I know I will be reaching out @Manic84 and @Mnmacguy If you two don't mind helping helping a first timer on the macs.

Nice 1. Looks good. That rear AV mount looks ok. My fix up job on the broken front mount saves the rear so if its not torn you probably just need to do the front. It stiffens it up nicely
i will take a closer picture when I get back to the house tonight and you can tell me if you are seeing what I am seeing. I am currently looking for some rubber in between work hours. Just haven't found some quite right yet.

There's even a thread dedicated to them: https://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/mcculloch-mini-and-small-cc-chainsaws.218770/page-48

Does this fit a mac 110 it seem like it doesn't. This is what came in the saw when I got it but I had to remove the handle to tighten it. It is an ngk plug.
