Same book!

If you wanna see some really sweet rides the members here have then you need to do a search for " 08f150". He had some of the biggest and baddest rides you ever saw. They could burn some rubber, several ran on straight alcohol. You'll thank me later.

Man, a lot of you you guys got some sweet ride's!!!

I appreciate that though Brett! Big time! Unfortunately, its already in Spokane. 😞
Dang, they ain't messing around.
I may be transporting my little tractor down the rd about an hr and a half, guys interested but needs help moving it. Hope the rest are clear, be a shame to get the ole girl dirty, just took it to the wash today.

Had the issue on a suburban. I was fortunate enough to know a skilled gm tech. He told me the exact issue and fix. No problem since. For me it was not the key at all. There is a connection under the dash that is a bundle of about 20 plus wires. One of those wires is for ignition/ security. It measures resistance and tells the brain it is ok to let the car start. The issue was corrosion in the connector. More corrosion, more resistance and it would send an in accurate reading to the brain leading it to think the car was being stolen.
Nipped this wire on either side of the connector, soldered in a resistor that was withing an acceptable range, did a " re - learn " to teach the brain the new resistance it should be looking for.
Thinking more on it I think he told me to do the bypass before clipping the wires on either side to maintain continuity. As suggested, check out some YouTube vids to get the plan down pat. It has been years since I did it and I might be a little foggy on specifics.
Yes!!

Sean, 845 346 1580

Ex GM master that is now the punching bag, I mean fixed ops director at the dealership

That’s the number to my office

If the light is flashing after trying to start, there is a 30 minute fix that costs zero money

It’s been a few years since I turned a wrench, but I have a shop full of fellas that can help if I can’t figure it out

My truck is black and it started feeling weird after shifting into drive, what could it be  .
Sorry, couldn't resist, but I've handled so many of those calls :dizzy:.
Mine actually did start having "that" symptom today right after going to the carwash, but I'm not sure the carwash had anything to do with it. Shakes a bit when it goes into drive, but if I downshift at the same speed I don't feel anything(this is on my 2000 excursion with a v-10 BTW). It does feel as though there is now a slight miss at lower rpm, but I haven't seen the check engine light come on for random misfire yet. I'll check it out a bit more Thursday when I get a bit.
Great your willing to help out, many times it's hard getting help on an older vehicle, then you buy new(well, not me lol) and half the shops can't fix those either :rare2:.

Don't know much about global warming or climate change other than it's definitely affecting Alaska and something that's been going on since the beginning of our planet!
Neither do I, except it ain't my fault :). And yes, warming and cooling trends have been going on since before I was here, and certainly before the Industrial Age/revolution. I'm pretty sure they could somehow blame the dinosaurs dying out on humans, but then they'd have to admit that humans and Dino's walked the earth at the same time(that parts actually true though ;)).
And I know if it was mans fault, those claiming to have the fixes for it are the ones who are doing the most harm :buttkick:.

Sadly I can’t like this post twice!

Discussing the "why" can be a political discussion, but looking throughout history, we'd have to be crazy to expect that the climate wouldn't trend one way or another. The old timers here talk about how a 4-5' snow storm here was usual...now a 3-4' snow storm only happens every few years. Back in the really olden times, people walked into N America from Siberia...they had to stick to the coastlines to go further south, as the interior was blocked by ice sheets. So it's no surprise to me that things are warmer than they used to be.
