took the wood train out on a firewood scrounging field trip yesterday. 3 locations... just down the road.

🤣That urban operation will definitely git'er done! I sure hope that tractor has a refreshing beverage holder?👍 Nothing slows production down faster than no where to secure your refreshing beverage!👎

I really like the old cartridges.
25/20 has always interested me.....
What length bbl? is it on a bolt action?
Then you will probably like my S&W "K" frame revolver chambered in 25/20 Winchester too.

I forget the length of the Shaw, it's not a long bbl., and the action is a custom T-bolt.

I bet that's a pretty hot handgun....
I've got a .22 tcm in a 1911 that thing is LOUD and blows great balls of fire!

I had a t-bolt .22lr, they are nice rifles but it just didn't really float my boat so I sold it.

The revolver is for hunting, I never hot rodded it. I designed a Keith style 25 cal. SWC bullet for it and have swage dies to make them.

That is their "Superformance" ammo that is loaded with progressive powders that are supposed to be 100-200 FPS higher than normal factory loads.

They list the 200 gr at 3030 FPS, but don't tell you how to duplicate their load!

My old (3rd edition) Hornady manual shows IMR 4831 producing 3,000 FPS in a 338 Win Mag, but all the other powders are 2,900.

I don't think anyone currently loads the 338-06, but no matter, most of my guns have never seen a factory loaded round.

I have a good supply of 06 brass (both new and once fired that I collected at the range) and recently found a brick of large rifle primers, so I'm good for a while.
Found a brick of primers????

More like you have a nephew that loves you!

That was your 70th birthday present, remember???

Can’t wait for your rifle to be done either, it’ll look cool up at camp next to my stainless Whelen Ruger.

Be safe going up to camp tomorrow, this weather is crap!

Yeah, mine was a new one made in Japan.

Swaging bullets sounds very interesting, I'd like to try it sometime..... like in a million years when I get everything else done.....
