Over the weekend people went into the area my mountain place is at, one from the top and one from the bottom.

The one that went in from the bottom, said this.
“Well I made it in today had to walk in a little ways before the creek still lots of snow there. Cut about 20 downed trees, but you can get to your place. Creek is at least 10 ft across right now, and its moving. Also the creek below us where that little pump shack is, the water is going over the road and washed out 2 ruts they are about a foot deep each.”

He also said there are still stretches of snow coming up to our place from below. I know exactly where he means, there are curves with thick forest blocking the sun.

He took this pic of the gate between ours and his, it accesses someone else’s property.

This is a time lapse video from the guy that went in the top. He said there’s a 5 foot hole where the water melted through the snow, they had to winch out of.

Man, that's beautiful!

Put the laser on. I didn't think about this until another gentleman pointed it out to me, but using this, you've got to keep the saw pretty perpendicular to the log to get your correct 16". Don't know if this is going to work out or not. I may end up giving this thing to someone.

I'll try it, as I like trying most gadgets, but I hadn't factored in the fact that you have to keep the saw pretty square to the log for the laser to be accurate. We'll see.

Of course, I never did claim to be an Astro-physicist either!!! :)

Jumped the fence....

Oh come on, you just say that to make it seem like it's illegal. Maybe that gets the cowkids moving faster? 🤔

I'm off to (re)start PT today after arthroscopic surgery, so hoping I can get back to wheelbarrow therapy soon and help you prop the thread up with actual scrounging pics.

Maybe she doesn’t want to be scooped up.
As often as she has a new boyfriend, if she wanted to be single you'd think she would stop dating. Idk, though I don't know her very well beyond dealing with her at work.

Good bless all of you who are dating or have been divorced. I'm 30 years with my wife and if she kicked me out I'd just hang it up I believe and live with my saws and outboards and my dog. Probably just have a garage with a cot in it!
I wouldn't pursue anything except my hobbies as well. Give me a little shop in the woods, some saws, guns, and a boat and I'd be happy. I'd probably go completely feral!

I got two good ones first wife together 34 years married for 30 . She passed in 2012 . I met the current " misses" not legally married about 6 months later wasnt looking but it just clicked . Been together 11 years this fall .

It’s a good thing we’re all reasonable, well balanced men that most women would love to take home and nurture for the rest of their life. I knew an old fella that owned a local bar for many years, same wife. He once said, “ I’ve seen a number of divorces that came and went, the only thing that changed was the color of their hair”. 😀

That's pretty much how I live, except trade the boat for motorcycles and bicycles. One of my dirtbike buddies made the comment that I've the dirtbike equivalent of a surfer living on a beach.

Once anything gets too serious, I'm over the "relationship" by then. I can't blame women, I fully acknowledge that I'm hard to get along with. When I'm not at my actual job, I'm often out riding all day long on 2 wheels...then come home and wrench on stuff in the shop during the evening. I once thought I found the perfect one, her interests were literally the same as mine, cute, etc...I eventually found that she was even crazier than I am, she was definitely on the wrong side of the crazy/hot curve.

I think some people just attract certain types of personalities, or at least subconsciously choose certain personalities. I'll aim for nice/reputable ladies, but end up with whiskey-tango types. I did grow up in a single-wide, so it's amazing that I don't wear pit vipers and rock a mullet.
