I was also playing with a handle repair. It's black silicone adhesive. It had a big gouge out of it and thought I'd have a crack. Came out good.

also thinking about trying it on the bark rashed up area20230507_153813.jpg
I notice this handle is steel ?? Had no idea. 850 has an alloy half wrap

Ive got a couple of half wraps that are also steel. It looks real good. 1 more for the list.

I wonder how much extra they weigh. Honestly for steel it feels pretty light still.
The never ending list. Got the 10 series pretty well rounded.

A super 250 I need to get going for some large frame action.

A sp60 would be cool but not a necessity

If I made bars I would put the writing on one side upside-down so that whenever you flip the bar at least one side would be up the right way. 🤔
Get the 250 Super up and running and you’ll really like it! I have a large mount 28” Husky bar with 3/8” chain in mine. I use it for large trees that need cut up. Still use the flat back McCulloch carb.

Not strictly a McCullch thing, but I bought this "surface preparation tool" from our local HF a few weeks ago. This unit is an absolute miracle tool for reburbishing chainsaw bars.

You have to get them out of the sunlight to really see how they look.

The 40 grit drum is just right for achieving the brushed finish, and I've done 10 or so bars with this wheel so far. At a cost of $30 per drum and figuring I'll get 8-10 more bars at least with this one making it a very cost effective proposition.

Then you might never know if you reversed the bar with each chain(ge).
