Finally got my new Lopi Leyden going tonight. Had quite a few small fires in it. But tonight it is windy and down around 32. So I got it going a little hotter tonight. I have about 330 on the single wall pipe using a Condar thermometer ( 12 inches above stove ) . Then about 400 on the stove top. I did engage the secondary. Just wondered what everyone else runs at. Need something to compare to.

I run my Pacific energy between 400-600 , I have a temp gauge on the face

I Have a Magnetic (condor) gauge on the front door of my Buck Stove, I try to keep it between 300*-600*. It was running at about 450* when I left the house at 5:30 this morning, I hope the wife and Dogs are warm & happy.....

We have an Olympic Avalon insert and the magnetic thermometer usually reads between 400 and 600-occasionally up to 700. 400 is usually the minimum we like to keep it reading.

Our Lopi Answer is running at about 1000° stove top right now. Faint glow. Feels good.
