362C Question on 28 inch bars

Dear Arborist, I have a new 362C with a 20 inch bar and that bar will stay on the saw 95% of the time. My main use is for cutting firewood and clear some land. I live in a area where some really big trees are dying and the wind is blowing them over. So I never have to actual drop...

    Factory Idle Speeds

I'm trying to make a cheat sheet or pocket card for the guys at work to use when tuning saws. I'm having trouble tracking down the suggested idle settings for a few models that we own. I know tuning to ear is a better practice, but I need a quantifiable range to use as a baseline for the ones...

    Stihl High Output Oilers (461 & 661)

Recently there was an argument in our FB group about the "R" models having the high output oiler. Some people argued that all 461s and 661s come with the HO oiler regardless of the wrap handle or not. So in case of any confusion for people searching about it, here is the definitive answer.

Want to Buy Stihl 20/260 variant or 036/360 varient

Im looking for a Stihl saw in either a 026/260/261 and the like or a 036/360/361/362. Not picky on much, just looking for a clean saw at a good price. i would even go for a 044/440/441 if the price is right. Bar length is not a major detail to me either. Thank you!

Want to Trade Like New Husky 346XP OE for 044 440 mag

Looking to trade my like-new 346xp oe with less than 10 hours of run time for an older 044 super or 440 mag. Would also consider 036 or 362. Mostly just looking for a bigger Stihl saw than 50cc. Must be in good condition, ready to work.

Been dying to buy a new saw

I have an Echo CS-440 and a Husqvarna 345. They're both about 10 years old. The Echo has been great since day one. The Husqvarna just the opposite. It's actually been possibly the worst mechanical thing I've ever owned. Either way I need something bigger. I cut firewood to heat my home so I...

Looking for Info and Advice on MS361 and MS362 Felling Dawgs

So I have the part #'s for the stock inner and outer felling dawg upgrades from Stihl for those 2 saws. Luckily they are the same part #'s. # 1135 664 0501 and # 1135 664 0500. I would like to stay stock for these to saws. Going much bigger would suck up too much bar on a 20" My local Stihl...

    Stihl ms362 / ms362c Ignition Module

Hello, I just got a 362c Stihl chainsaw with a 20" bar in a "fix r up" state for a cheap price. The ignition module does need to be replaced. Now, I know the offical part number is 1140 400 1302, but what I am wondering is if anyone knows (for a fact) if another non-oem / aftermarket ignition...
