    Mall 2MG value/price

I found a Mall 2MG with a 36" bar for $250. It looks really rough cosmetically (lots of dirt/sawdust, scratched paint, rusty bar) and the ad doesn't say anything about it beyond "Chainsaw with 36" blade", so I have no idea if it runs or not. My wife thinks I'm nuts for even considering it...

Hutzl customer service is the pits

I ordered three 28 inch bars with chains. They sent the 28 inch bars and 25 inch chains. I wrote back telling them about their mistake. After about 2 weeks of back and forth they are refusing the send the correct chains. At this point I am about the give up, but just wanted to share what...

Trilink "Full Chisel-safety" chain. What is this stuff?

So I was at my lol Rural King this evening and thought I'd try out a TRILINK bar and chain combo, since they were only $29.99 and everything is 12% off (after rebate of course) I figured that if I was gonna buy one, now was as good of time as any. Sure I'd rather have a STIHL bar, but I just got...

    Correct my sharpening!

I've been using a Husqvarna roller sharpener, and my chain doesn't look right to me. I feel like I'm cutting too high and not leaving enough "lip" on the front part of the tooth. Is this true, and how can I correct it? Thanks.

    Holzfforma Bars and Chains

I noticed they had rolled out some larger bars over the 14" bar and chain loop they introduced the brand with. I put 3 - 16" loops and a 16" bar in the cart and shipped they were a few cents less than $40 total. here is a 16" loop...

    Oregon chain mystery? - #19A drive links - #25 cutters - .325 .063 semi

Can anyone tell me what this is? Guessing it is NOS and now phased out / replaced. May be narrow kerf as it looks a little less wide than my Carlton K3L

    EA4300/Dolmar 421 + bar + 95VPX stock chain?

My Makita EA4300 (Dolmar 421) came with Oregon 95VPX chain on its 18" original bar (too long for this saw). I've finally got around to buying a K041 .325 16" bar which I thought would work ok, but my dealer put Stihl 23RS chain on it o_O and the kerf is obviously too large, as it rubs slightly...

    Husqvarna Chain Brake

I'm new to all this, but thanks, kudos, wow to whomever wrote the fix for the metal band constricting when removing clutch cover on a Husqvarna. I had locked it up while cleaning the saw - the first I have owned Took a little time, and angst, but got it fixed! Thanks again.

    Stihl MS 241 C-M Problem

Hi Arboristsite! I've had my Stihl MS 241 C-M for aprox. 6-8 months now. I run with both a 14" and 18" bar. After I had my 18" bar for a couple of months my saw started bugging out whenever I used it. The saw gets really shaky and 'lagging' and the chain almost constantly jumps off. It doesn't...

    What about you?

Would you take the time to replace the only 2 bad cutters on a like new 24" chain or, would you just file it and however it cuts it cuts. The cutters on this chain are like new in size, except for 2 on the right hand side, I punched out the 2 damaged cutters, and then attached and spun 2 new...

    The Sharpened Chain (maybe)

Just wanting to get some feedback on this chain, does it look sharp? are the chips chunky enough? The cutters have all been measured and filed to the same length, the rakers were filed down using a Husky file guide. Anyone know what type of chain this is, and what chain would you fellas replace...
