I acquired a 024 AV Super for free.. after doing some research on the 024avs iv became confused. From what I have read. The 024s came with one bar nut and front chain tensioner. Mine has 2 bar nuts and a side tensioner. Now yesterday while I was going over the saw I discovered a toggle switch. Upon more looking I figured out it has heated hand grips that work! Now I know that the 024 supers share the same bottom end as the 026 and make a little more power than the 024avs. But I don't know much more than that about these saws.. it also says made in West Germany. And has the S on the cylinder top.. can someone please tell me what this is? It's a great running cutting beast.

And as far as I know it was all factory when I acquired it. But it turns a 3/8 pitch chain.. has no issues turning a 20 inch standard 3/8 bar and chain.. I have since gutted the very restrictive muffler.. by opening up the spark arrestor in front of exhaust port. And cutting that pipe Inside front cover. And added a 2nd port.. it definitely helped wake it up.. next on my list Is a WT-149 carb.. this saw has me stumped as to what it is exactly. But I can't complain one bit. Any info on it is greatly appreciated

You have a 024 AVSEQ (024 AV Super Electronic Quickstop) with heated handles. The S on the cylinder indicates that it is a 024 Super cylinder with higher displacement as the normal 024. The piston stroke is 2mm longer on the 024 AVSEQ, as on the normal 024.

Specification for 024 AVSEQ:

Displacement: 44.3cm³
Bore: 42mm
Stroke: 32mm
Power: 2,3kW at 9500rpm

Thank you for shedding some light on this saw. The heated handles really confused me. I couldn't find any info on 024s with heated grips.
So what's with the 3/8 pitch chain? It seems to have some sort of adapter on the clutch drum. But I can run 3/8 standard and 3/8 picco on sane setup.. thought picco n standard 3/8 Required different sprockets?
It's a great running saw as is. Going to do few simple yet effective mods and wake it up. What is weird is it has NO issues turning a 20 inch bar. I don't have a compression tester. But I have picked it up by the pull rope with no release of the rope. It has compression.
