026 compression

I just recently bought a cheap 026 off ebay and it needs some work. I checked the compression and it went up to 150 with 8 pulls. I dont know if im doing this right? Am i pulling it too many times? I just want to make sure the compression is good before i go tearing in too far. Thanks

Compression looks good,it will go up to max in 4 to 6 or maybe 8 pulls anymore and you are wasting your arm.

Seen lots of mushy fuel lines on 026s, check over the pulse line, fuel filter pickup line and intake boot.

The only time my 026 stopped was due to a blocked intake screen on the carb. Rebuild was amazingly quick, and saw is now running as sweet as ever...

first thing i would do is check the fuel line, that was the prob with my 026

well i found that the impulse line i believe its called was broke. The line runs from the carb to the cylinder. I replaced it and it starts and runs some just needs some carb adjustment

I'd be really happy with 150# on a 026 as long as the p/c looked clean.
