029S Master Control Lever

Got a quick question..

Just got a great deal on a super clean 029Super for $150 bucks. Tested compression on it and its at 155 and it had a super clean body but the handle is broken on the bottom (nothing I cant fix with a little bit of steel and some nuts and bolts).

Anyways, I have a quick question about the MCL on this saw. I've read the instruction manual about starting it with the 4 positions (cold start, warm start, run and off). My question is, I can definitely notice when its in the run position from the off position but I cant tell if its in cold start or warm start. Is it supposed to click or do something different when I move it to those positions or is there something broken in my MCL?

Take the filter cover off and watch the choke lever.

Is it supposed to click? Or am I missing something? I see it moving but it doesnt click or stay in that position.

On this saw you have to have the throttle all the way in for it to go to full choke. If not you will feel pressure on the choke lever when you try to push it all the way down.
