Replaced an impulse line and was getting ready to tear down the carb when I noticed the linkage arm was not staying in the notches and saw would not choke. Think this is a 2000 model saw and guessing it is just excessively worn. Any ideas as to a fix? Usually my backup saw and I can take rear cover off to start if I have to, just hoping there is an easier fix

that's the choke linkage, if your snapping it in as far is it can go an won't stay then the nubs that hold it in place are worn or broke.

i just had one do this in the shop changed the choke, kill spring and the trigger. works like new, it didnt need the spring but why i was in there.
