Anyone think maybe this plate said magnum, bore is 52mm. I’m thrown of by chain break handle( early)and all magnesium body, if reliable serial puts it 1982 +-1 year. Before magnum. If super should be 50mm.

So going through threads s/n identifying that would make saw a 041. Absolutely no sense! This is pick of plate beside muffler. I have brought saw down to crankcase and wrote Down casting numbers, makes no sense.

Not the most accurate tools but still comes up 52mm. So 038 magnum in a 041 case. I’m thinking miss tag.

Yes I did earlier, between the fact they are drastically different, the bore being only 44mm was a for sure. No must be a mis matched tag. Wish top would have given full labelled description should read magnum 038 av electronic quick stop. Bore is 52mm and has chain break.

Definitely an 038 first edition. Did someone sneak a 52 mm setup on it? Very possible.
