041 Just Rebuilt

Just got done rebuilding a 041 to give as a gift to brother

041 got just about everything new or like new

No i did this myself its a stock rebuild

The super was my first saw that I worked on and didnt know a thing about them

so this saw is my 5 th saw that I completeily rebuilt

Randy has my 038 mag ll that is going to be Ported but i rebuilt it from the crank up

Looks good. I love those older 041 for some reason.

Thanks they got a very unique sound to them and they got enought power to get almost everything you need done for the fire

wood gather not a everyday saw in today standards

Yes all 3 my 041av's have chain brakes never had one on a saw before

So figured i got em use em do they add value to a saw

Well, talk about good timing.

Since we're talking about 041's, a buddy of my dad's wants me to tune his 041 Farm Boss up. Anything unique I need to know about this saw before I start?

tear it down clean everything check points for dirt or burnt refile or replace points

check intake for tightness or replace all gaskets rebuild carb remove oiler change all o rings and reinstall

replace plug

replace fuel line and filter

replace impluse line

remove muffler check rings to see if scored if they are remove cyl rering if piston ok if not replace it


reassembly fire it up and tune

all in a bout 10 days

its not a quick process

cleaning getting parts prepainting and drinking a few

did i forget anything ?
