064 coil AGAIN

Hi all at A/S.
I have done a lot of my own (bench testing)research,Read the files,checked the diagrams but,
I have an 064 here that had a new chi coil fitted that had no spark under compression.
F/W is a 11224001204,1 keyway.
All the info says I need a 11224001303 coil.
I fitted a IIDA 11224001314 coil and it starts and revs good with only the usual 064 kick back.
I also tried a Stihl IIDA coil and ran ok but didn't seem as good as the 1314 coil.
Are these the same coil?No numbers on the Stihl coil.
So the question is am I missing something or if it runs just do it.
Bloke hasn't got original coil so don't know what is was.

BTW I don't have a lot of information on the 1204 wheel.
But have a bit of information on others.

The 1314 coil is for the 066/MS-660 poly flywheel. It has the aggressive timing curve to compensate for the "flex"
in the poly flywheel at high speeds. It is not the same as the 0000 400 1300 universal dummy coil.

The 1204 flywheel is for the rev-limited ignition (1303), which is the "shoebox" CDIC coil.

I think that case will use a universial coil that will work with right flywheel. Some have two keyways, for different coils.

People have made adapters for early cases to fit later coils.

Yes I made the adaptor.
So J any idea why this saw runs with the 1314 coil.
Are the cdic and cdic-a timed the same.
Is the only difference the output for the LED.

So I tried the cdic-a
No go without timing change.
So cdic and cdic-a are timed different.
So going the 11224001314 route.May not be the best option but at least the bloke can keep his family warm.
Will need to run without a key for this also to be timed right.
With the key fitted the 1314 is close but just a bit to advanced.
Impossible to get a 1303 coil here in Aust.

You need a coil that looks like this otherwise it will not fire at the right time. Bout take your arm off pulling

I have had the saw going with the 1314 coil fitted and key removed.
Starts easy,no kickback.idles great,revs great.
That's all I can ask for.
