1 finger or 2 on the throttle????

The guy i work with thinks its odd that i pull the trottle with 2 fingers.
Ive done this for years and it feels awkward using only 1 finger.

Am i odd or do you guys do this as well?

Cutting low down i often work the trottle with my thumb as well!

Using a drill my index finger is above the switch running paralell with the body of the drill and i pull the trigger with the next 2 fingers down, This method puts the pressure through the drill in a straighter line IMO and breaks less small bits.
I guess a few years of putting between 6,000 and 10,000 screws a day into freezer lids brought this affliction on lol

I've also been known to use your "drill" trigger when shooting skeet...a pointing reference so to speak.

Yea never thought about it. . .. .but now that i think of it with a dolmar i use two cause of that mess up grip they have. . . .never liked the shape much

I never thought much about it either.

I have had a few people mention that they get a sore finger pulling the throttle, Pulling it with 2 seems to spread the weight a bit more.

Im worse on the Stihl strimmers my thumb rests over the top of the grip and i pull the throttle with my pinkie and the next finger up.
Great strimmers but the ergonomics of the handles are shockingly bad.

I had a Makita strimmer that was so bad i had to fab up some new handles!

Can honestly say I don't know and have never thought about it.

Do try to keep my thumb wrapped around the top handle though. Doesn't always happen, but I do try.

One finger or two? One usually, I have big hands and usually wear gloves. Or a thumb for flush cutting and felling. But each to their own

I always use my middle finger and have my index finger poised as a backup just in case the middle finger falls off or decides to take a break.

Index finger all the way, plus I have big hands and played bass for many years, my index finger is pretty much the dominant finger.

Every 2 stroke I have, I pull the throttle with 2 fingers, Blowers hedgetrimmers saws, Everything!

My hands arent huge but i wear a size 9 glove and they are fairly snug.
