im looking at a 92 ford f700 truck has gas 429 and Kubota pony motor. Truck was a municipality truck with 56000 miles used lightly. The issue I have I've been hearing that asplundh booms are junk and unsafe. Anyone have insight on this. Truck did have boom inspection on last yearJune of 2015 passed no issues. Truck is up for sale for 25000 is that decent price. Any help would be appreciated.

Someone will probably correct me but I'm thinking Asplundh and LR 3 are two different booms.
I'm thinking the LR3 is once they were Altec?
I have heard that the Asplundh booms are obsolete to where they can't be certified any more, but it sounds like the boom in question passed, so maybe whoever certified it would be good to talk to?
