I'm moving my tree service from Indiana to Colorado and the drive shaft fell off my truck on i70. The truck is at a mechanic that seems reliable but the repair was not budgeted for and want to sell 2 Saws here to help cover it.

I have a Husqvarna 576xp Auto Tune, bought new only a month ago. Around 5 tanks of fuel only. 24" bar 1 new chain 1 used, 32" bar 1 skip chain used.
Looking for 840+shipping. Saw looks like new.

Craftsman 3.7 (grey-poulan 3800). 61cc, 20" power match bar, at least 2 used chains. Muffler modded, strong cutter. Looking for $180+ shipping. Not a beauty contest winner but not a loser either, everything in tact no cracks.

I'm camping an hour away from where my truck and saws are now so I can get pictures just not at the moment. If you're interested we can talk about it but I have no service in Kansas so can only use wifi at McDonald's so it may be a minute before I reply.

Sorry to hear about your trouble jtc.
I had a similar situation when moving back from FL, my van that was towing the car had a bearing go out and weld itself to the spindle. I had only enough to make it back to Michigan and get a place, and I spent that on a hotel and the van repair. Got back here and had to live with my parents for a while :nofunny:, worked two jobs and overtime, I wanted out of that situation BAD:lol:. I also had a 1 yr old daughter at the time and it was in January.
It's been a while now, and I don't even remember the last time I though about it until I read your post.
Hope you get something sold quickly and can move down the road, literally as well as leaving the situation behind.
Brett

Here are some pics of the saws. The 576 has never been cleaned so that's what it looks like after 5 tanks. This was used to fell and buck a large poplar trunk and cut up 2 other logs into firewood sections. I didn't take the muffler off since it is so new. Cleaned the Craftsman up without taking the clutch cover off. It's a strong saw.

I drove 739 miles from 7pm-6am last night 3 stops
Ironically enough, my dad does that trip a couple times a yr except from just east of Grand Rapids Mi, the irony comes in when I tell you his truck blew up on him last yr when he went out there, he now has a brand new truck.
Bummer is I would have happily given what the dealer gave him for it and drove out there to pick it up, dealers :nofunny:.

I have been broke down alongside the road more times than I want to remember. I see a member mentioned he was along that route but you were back in Indiana. I understand you are looking to sell to fund the repair but if you need something else speak up. There are a ton of great folks along that route as well as any other route that may not have funds to assist but they darn sure have skill and resources that they will bend over backwards to help you with. Just ask me I know WELL

Right on thanks man. That's awesome when people want to help out. I'm in pretty good shape right now, just short on funds.

While going to Colorado last week, my friend was driving my car and I was driving the truck pulling the chipper. First day went fine, we went 7 hours and camped. 2nd day we made it a couple hundred miles before he calls me (he's way ahead in the car) saying he's on the side of the road with 2 flat passenger side tires. I'm trying to figure out how far ahead he is and right then the drive shaft falls out the truck and I see him up ahead and I pull in right behind him on the side of the road now broke down too. We find a towing/repair shop nearby. The guy hauls everything to his shop and needs a few days before he can look at the truck so he fixes the tires and we head out to go camping. While camping the bolts holding my water pump pulley on the car fall off. So we walked a few miles to get bolts and fixed it. Got caught in a bad wind for about 120miles coming back to Indiana too. He's working on the truck now and should have it done today he thinks. Then he'll store it in a spare garage they have. the chipper is in a parking lot under a huge tarp bungee corded down. We brought climbing rigging gear and saws back in the car so we can work just not haul anything, while we stay here until getting enough money to go get the truck and march on.

That sounds like many of the trips I have taken. That is why I try to stay within a few miles of home. If any of you have seen the tool selection I take to Baraboo and the GTG that I used to attend you will see my paranoia.

Even though your in a bad situation as with everything it could be worse. I know that sure as heck does not help now though. I wish I could buy one of your saws but with no disrespect intended I do not need either of them. If you had something I needed I would buy it to help you out

I understand man thanks. Haven't made too much progress acquiring funds yet so there may be more for sale coming up

Cleaned the saws up and made some individual postings for them. Got an Echo 355t also that has barely been used at all. Got a couple estimates to do tomorrow for some small trees. Thanks for the help

I believe I saw were you were wanting to sell a chipper now
Yea man.. I've been on a crazy adventure. Wrecked my car and spent a week homeless in Denver now too. I'm about back home to sell all my tree gear and saws. After that I'll scoop my truck and chipper up from Kansas and the chipper will be for sale too. Will be posting a lot of stuff in the next few days.
