Gypo what did you do to that 262 you were fixing up what figures did you use ??
i'm expecting one by the end of this week and was thinking of playing a bit with it ,,

well the 372 thread did end up in HK so ,,,,, thought I could save some time :D
 
If I recall correctly, I took 1mm off the intake skirt of the piston and 1mm off the bottom of the intake port. Then I raised the exhaust by 1mm and removed the base gasket and used Locktite gasket maker. I did nothing to the tranfers, but raising them 20-40 thou. would help if you have the 90 degree porting tool to get in there. I also opened the muffler a bit as well.
Remember, it's not an exact science, so be conservative on your alterations at first and you won't be disappointed.
As longs as your porting work is blended and radiused in, you won't go wrong.
You can also widen the intake and exhaust ports as well to increase flow.
