Fibre-Metal is available. Make one. I've done so a dozen times. Its the purpose served, not the part #....Good Luck! Those are remarkable saws!!

Some 288's came without them, I think all the 181/281's I've seen didn't have those heat shields.

Go to farmer tech web and find it my clone has a shield so it should be available thru them

Hey thanks I went to their site , I don’t see many individual parts , they have like the entire kit for a few hundred bucks . Could use the high top cover out of it as well . Thanks for the idea though
