Husky 3120... gets hot and then revs flat out without even touching it. I've changed the low speed idle needle, (no difference), I'm looking at possibly the needle valve and metering lever... what do you reckon th problem is??? Is it sucking air through a faulty gasket, maybe???

if its reving and the throttle plate is closed your leaking air and sure to burn up the saw.

Yuppers gents, WOT just sitting seems almost always an air leak somewhere, been discussed a number of times 'round here, lean-out condition. check intake boot (?) gasket leaks etc., do not try ta fix it by adjusting you will kill yer machine, when you get down to specifics either Lake or Thall (and several others) will be able to get you pointed in the right direction.
