31cc Roper Questions

I am working on a 31cc Roper chainsaw for a buddy who picked it up at a yard sale. It has spark but will not hit with prime to carb or in cylinder. I checked the compression and I can only get 90psi. Is that enough for it to start? I thought it would but she won't hit a lick. What do you guys think other than junk it? Thanks

90 is low,, make sure teh spark screen is clear,, pull the flywheel to make sure the key is ok,, if that checks out make a boat anchor out of it because of the compression
