361 muffler can u see the piston??

Can u check the piston on a 361 by removing the muffler??

Sure, but it is called a muffler not a nuffler. You need to pull the two plugs on the front of the muffler and the lower bolt. All are t27 torx from what I remember.

And watch when you put them buggers back in. I've lost a few from vibration, until I started using red Locktite. There should also be little cone washers on the two that go into the jug. They should help keep the bolts in, but they get lost pretty easy.

T27 torx, yup. Come out pretty stiff like, I didn't have to reapply the loctite. At least, I didn't and they haven't come loose yet.

I never use loctite on chainsaw screws, and have never had one come loose.
