371xp will not return to idle
I rebuilt the carb as the saw was very hard to start
Put it back on the saw it started on about the 3 or 4 pull
Ran it long enough to get air out of line
It would not come back to idle checked to see why
The throttle control cable is holding the throttle open
I have tried to find a reason and cannot
What did I do wrong???????????

Look at the throttle trigger- there's a ferrule-shaped opening on the front of the trigger where the insulation for the throttle cable fits into. When the insulation slips out of that, it makes the throttle cable much shorter and holds the throttle open. When you get the insulation seated back in the ferrule correctly, the throttle cable will act as it should.
