An old friend gave me this yesterday,

The saw is really ugly, and a lot of parts are missing (top cover, starter handle and rope, a few screws, etc.)

But the most important,

Yup, piston is like new!
 
Or you can send it to someone who can weld up the flange and recut the bolt slot.

That's what he should have done from the beginning, yes. Plus he did not even removed the cylinder to cut the fins, he just cut through the fins AND through the crankcase. But i don't really care, i have another crankcase ready for this saw!
