The guy cut through the cylinder fins and weld a bigger piece of steel at the end of the bolt.

Or you can send it to someone who can weld up the flange and recut the bolt slot.

That's what he should have done from the beginning, yes. Plus he did not even removed the cylinder to cut the fins, he just cut through the fins AND through the crankcase. But i don't really care, i have another crankcase ready for this saw!
