550xp problem

So the last couple days I've been noticing a worker having issues starting my 550. So today I got tired of seeing him pull and pull to start the saw. I figured he was use to old saws and couldn't figure out how to choke these new saws. Pulled the cover and intake off and found this.

Thanks!! So that slides into a hole at the lower left corner of the carb and it snapped, Choke looks open now.

How old is that saw, what kind of oil you using(lol)

It slides in the hole on the lower left side on the side of the carb (hole angled down). If thats the one you meant.[emoji3]

A tear down for a port job would have revealed the loose choke shaft too. LOL!!
