550xp rim compatible on 455 rancher?

before you say it, the 455 rancher was upgraded from spur to a rim system.

My friend has a bar and chain combo I want to try on my 550xp just curious if the rims are the same size?

It's not the rim you should be worried about, it's the chain pitch. The chain needs to match the sprocket. The bar will mount on your 550

Yes I know, basically my friend has a 20” 3/8 chain setup that I want to try is all. All I was wondering was if the rim off of his saw will fit on the clutch drum of my saw then I can just move everything over. The bar mount is the same.
Just experimenting with different chain setups is all.

I don’t really want to call him over, take the clutch off of his saw and mine and try and install the 3/8 rim and find out it doesn’t fit on my drum is all.


Basically I’m trying to see if rims are interchangeable regardless of what saw they are for (husqvarna)
