I've seen a few threads on the hot start issue, but this one is not experiencing that problem.

Can someone tell me if there is a fuel line that goes from the tank vent to the nipple above it? I had some fuel leaking from the vent when i was doing maintenance and noticed that it looks like a missing a fuel line. have not had this leakage issue before - been using 2 different 562's for ~2 yrs (unfortunately i don't have the other saw with me right now to compare).

Probably has a bit of junk stuck in it. Try spraying some wd40 or carb cleaner through it.

There should be a hose on it!.

Dude that is outdated, the new 562's and I believe 550's do not have a hose on them. My 562 doesn't have one, others with newer 562 don't and the new parts list doesn't. If the hose slipped off it would still be attached to the saw as it ran up through a rubber grommet and into the carb box.
