This is worth repeating!
Not a single person one time has said all the 550s or 562s with autotune have problems. SOME people have had problems and report about it, which..this is a chainsaw discussion problem forum, here it is from the top of the page:
"Forum: Chainsaw
Everyone's favorite. What are your problems? Post'em."
See right there? Post your chainsaw problems, love affairs/great scores/box 0 beer drunk stories/chicken legs/pie/GTGs/modding, etc. are supposed to come second I guess...people post their problems and get ranked and dissed for it?? WTF....
There just seems to be a constant thread going where someone is having starting and running issues with autotune. I noted, and I might be wrong, but I don't recall a single 441mtronic thread about them being hard to start, cold/hot/warm etc. Maybe it happened, I don't remember, but this is all we have to compare, husky/stihl and new styled computer/electronic carb saw issues.
If people can't post their problems here, then where, on this site? And I will REPEAT, NO ONE ever said "all" the autotunes had problems, it has been noted quite a few have gotten sold and people run them daily just fine, we all know this, but...these little gremlin stories keep popping up. It's just weird...
Same as "problems" with any other older styled saw, at one time or another about every single make/model has had a problem, so I am failing on seeing the beef here, why can't people post their problems if it regards autoune and frustrating trips back and forth to their local dealers? You can do with any other saw..except husky autotunes???? I think we all know that not all dealers are created equal, but we all dont live next door to the "cool" dealers who know what they are doing either. Autotune is a *system* that just about requires interaction with the dealer, as the saws do not ship with the cable, anayalsis stuff etc for the owner. Ain't no just removing limiter caps and taking a screwdriver to it, yes?
If people follow the start procedure and still have problems then..what are they supposed to do, eat a new saw and sit down and shut up? Not talk about it here, on a chainsaw problem forum?
For the record, I like the idea of autotune and mtronic, don't own either yet, will get one some time. They haven't been out on the market long enough yet for real cheap ones to show up on CL for example. It is still fairly new tech, and I see nothing wrong with guys who have spent the money on them posting about their experiences, the good, bad and ugly.
