I recently bought a used 660 crankcase that was cracked but didnt know it. like a dummie I went and bought an aftermarket crankcase in hopes of using the crankshaft. well I just got rushed and installed the crankshaft into the new crankcase without checking it against the old one. I am assuming that it is a 660 or 066 and not a 064. I looked up the part number on the old crankcase and it should be a 660. but after I got everything together I went to put the flywheel on and guess what, it doesnt fit. the flywheel touches the side of the crankcase. so either the crankshaft is not an 066, or there are different types of crankcases or there are different flywheels. I have another 660 with a poly flywheel that I will try to remove and look at that crankcase. does anyone know about the differences? It looks like I will have to disassemble everything unless a different flywheel can be used.
in the pics I posted the new and the old crankcase. the number on the old crankcase is 1122 021 7705
