Ok, so I picked up a complete 064 for short money a year or so ago. I don't know if it was running or not when I got it and like a dummy, I didn't check for spark before tearing it down. Serial number is 123965831; believe it to be manufactured in 1991, give or take a year.
I went through the saw and installed Caber rings, rebuilt the Bing carb, gutted the muffler, etc. Threw a bunch of NOS parts at it, too (tank, top cover, 3/4 wrap, etc). Also got a new 28" Stihl roller tip bar.
And when I tried to fire it up, no spark (or maybe a very faint intermittent spark).
It has a single keyway flywheel; probably the 1204, but I can confirm. The coil is the CDIC 1122 400 1303.
I didn't get any pics of the case without the coil, but the CDIC coil is bolted down in two locations.
Flywheel to coil gap is good. I'm sure I tried a different spark plug. I'm guessing it's a bad coil.
