661 in some spalted maple pics

As promised after getting it broken in I was able to do some milling with the 661. The pics aren't the best because it was snowing/freezing raining on us the whole time.
I cut the log about a year ago, propped it off the ground and let mother nature do it's thing, there was a crack through the middle so it had to be milled on it's side. The widest boards were about 22" so nothing too serious for the first time milling with the saw, which handled without an issue.

Love it! Maple is an awesome hardwood. It has such a broad variation in grain & color. It offers pretty much every figure type you can think of, and many different colors. Your log looks to be a beauty.

I think I just burned up the plastic gears because it engaged and I didn't figure it out. I am going to assume I bumped the handle and it didn't engage some other way.???
