i buy short ropes from tree tool shop or a rope maker off cuts bargain bin i got 21 metre of Arrow Frog last year its been great for what i climb more often just 30 foot is needed

I often buy 75' and 100' lengths of rope from TreeStuff.com myself. I don't like using longer ropes on short trees. Not much sense in dragging more rope up there than you need.
I have bought many short lengths of various ropes from Wes Spur.

I quit buying shorter than 200 foot. I hate running out halfway down, 200 foot seems to handle most trees here with a few exceptions!
As annoying as it is to get a 150' of rope out for a 30' climb I still deal with it. I've thought many times about getting a shorter rope but I already carry more gear than fits in the toolboxes. I don't want to take up to much more bed space.

I only buy a 600' spool, but I have 9 climber's,,,3 spools so far this year.
If it was just for you, I would still buy a spool and have any size rope at anytime and you would not have to buy more rope for a long time.
