7901 chain break assembly

Received a saw today super excited to have this thing. A smurf 7901.

The break lever was removed for shipping. i can not get this thing back together. All i have to do is put the handle on and it is not lining up.

Sent while firmly grasping my redline lubed RAM [emoji231]

I'll take a look at mine. Seems like it took a little effort to get everything lined up right.

Photo 1 - brake released.
Photo 2 - brake engaged Been a while since I was into this. Maybe the brake needs to be engaged during assembly? Looks like yours is released and there is tension on the spring and linkage.

I thought that when I saw his post earlier but never worked on Smurf saws so didn't know for sure. Good pics for comparison. Good luck @ U&A.
