They took up most of my Friday. I'd not be surprised if,
between my Okatsune hand pruners, Corona loppers, Silky Zubat hand saw and pole saw,
and Marvin pole pruner, I made over 1000 cuts---per tree...what a job! But they now look great.
though almost totally lacking any interior foliage.

I've pruned these twice before, but not thoroughly,
as the tenants like them full to provide privacy. But
the trees were really a mess, incredibly dense, laden
with dead wood and crossing branches
As well, a major long heavy lateral had split and
hung down over the entry. I reduced it a lot and
kept it as it is a major part of the tree and adds
character. I spent over five hours working on these
two small pines, plus cleanup time.

I did a few other shrubs, and Halldin did a few, though he's a
pretty slow pruner. Can't complain about $1500 in 6.5 hours.....
didn't put my saddle on, or make more than 4 yards of chips....
