I recently purchased a Walbro carb for a Husqv 55 on ebay. Some folks here say they like the Walbro better than the Zama.

The used carb came from a well-known, high volume seller that I have had very good service from in the past.

The listing said the carb “might need a kit, I don't know.”

Well when it arrived I saw that it is missing one of the four diaphragm cover screws. No big deal. I looked at the listing and sure enough, I should have seen it in the pic.

Opening it up to check the condition of the gaskets, out tumbled the metering valve, fork and pivot pin.

The holding screw is missing. The price was a little too good. The seller says he didn't know.

So who knows. Since I have the Zama I do not have a victim to cannibalize.

What size screw should I look for?

Get a screw and a new carb kit.
Try one of the screws off the ZAMA.....never know, might be the same thread pitch.
Not sure what pitch that is off hand? 4-40 maybe? IDK

I'm not gonna start a carb war, but when it boils down to one or the other, I'll always pic a Wally if I have a choice.
My 034 has a ZAMA and it runs flawlessly.
