Can you please instruct me on when & how to germinate an acorn from my Southern Live Oak Tree. I also need to know how to protect the seedlings from a freeze.

Most live oaks have lil seedlings popping up under them every spring. I'd say just dig up a couple that have already started naturally.
I've never had much luck with acorns, seems like Mother Nature does a better job! I think I mess with them too much, they pop up on their own when I do nothing. :rolleyes:
 
Be careful digging up oak sprouts. You need to get the juvenile tap root when you dig one up.
