Well, good to hear you are making progress on the barn, sorry about the septic. I've been involved with repairing those in the past, always a nightmare...

Wish Central made a boiler with 250-300 gal. canpacity, wold fill a need between the 5048/5036.

A possible compromise is to place an insulated tank in line with the loop within the heated space (say crawlspace or a closet). This wouldn't add much to the work the circulating pump does but would increase the thermal mass.
