help needed please .my alpina chainsaw runs fine when using in the normal position but when tilted either way to saw an upright tree it cuts out.ive changed the diaphram ,fuel filter and the filter is staying in the fuel .any ideas will be gratfully recieved.

propably the film of fuelpump (in carb) has broken, making the carb work only when on right position.. or impulse line is bleeding

Many times a saw that stumbles when tilted on its side indicates crank seal failure. Is there any way for you to do a vaccuum/pressure test on the engine?
