On the NPR today they did a story about Chimmney Sweeps in Germany.
By law you have to hire a Chimmney sweep in Germany and you can't choose one. They are assigned to areas by you know who (the Government.) And they come on a regular basis, several times per year.
Supposedly been that way since way back in the Hitler days. Said it was a safety issue. Trying to save lives.
They are supposedly just changing the law now to let you choose your own.
Interesting political philosophy over there: You can get an abortion any time any where but you can't clean your own chimney because they are trying to save lives.
